Ralph Nader has joked that the Wall Street Journal is the best newspaper in America attached to the worst op-ed page in America. It’s very funny, and true. The reporters are great, but Paul Gigot is a massive, world-historical idiot. Total dipshit. Utter moron. They don’t know what to do about this moment, because they’re Israel-worshipping neocons. That might actually be better than what they are, they won’t even stand with the Israeli people against a tyrant.
They’re flipping out about the righteous and just takedown of Speaker McCarthy, who stole from the Navy by impersonating an Indian. He pretends to care about crime, but Bakersfield is a cesspool with one of the highest crime rates in the state.
They’ve been trotting out Karl Rove, and now Kim Strassel, to try to deal with Gaetz. They call her column Potomac Watch, but she can’t see the Potomac because she lives in Alaska. It’s not going to work. Nobody’s listening to these old farts who are cartelizing the conservative movement and hurting their country:
Pundits are laboring mightily to imbue Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s ouster with historic or cultural significance, with references to “populism” and 1910 and the tea-party movement. If only it were so interesting, rather than one more Washington example of two-bit political hackery—a tale as old as time.
Give Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz and his crew of slang-whangers their due: They can spin with the best of them. There they nobly stood Tuesday on the House floor—side by side with Democrats—to explain that they alone were real conservatives; they alone cared about regular order and spending and the border; they alone had the courage to hold Mr. McCarthy to his promises. So slick was this performance that they alone were then able to march out of the chamber and raise millions of dollars off it.
All these neocons simply don’t get it. Marc Thiessen has been calling the rebels against McCarthy terrorists, a word he uses quite a lot because he has been forever compensating for the fact that he went to a girls’ school.
The “terrorist” slur is all these people have got. How dare you, you nasty little shits. We’re not terrorists, we’re patriots.
I’ve written about a couple of the CMU cases. But now it’s time to talk about Schaeffer Cox. Kimberly Strassel lives in Alaska, so she has no idea what’s going on in Washington. She just pretends she does, and the conservative movement plays along. She doesn’t have any idea what’s going on in Alaska, either. Just totally out to lunch.
The Schaeffer Cox case is another one Marty Gottesfeld has directed attention to. I assumed he’d eventually get out, so I didn’t take up that one, like Donny Reynolds. But it hasn’t happened yet. He’s basically a hippie Ron Paul guy, who was set up by Bill Fulton, who was given a book deal as a payout, which portrays himself as a hero for working with the FBI to take down a bunch of Americans.
Nobody in Fairbanks thinks he did it, Kim. Joe Miller’s people know what really happened. We know you live in Alaska, but it doesn’t seem like you’re really an Alaskan.
J. Arthur, your commentary is well taken and informative. We'd love to see/hear you on the Mike Church Show again, someday. We pray you are well!
