Nash Rosenblatt's Defamation Suit Has Been Dismissed With Prejudice and I Have Been Awarded Attorneys' Fees
A lot of trouble for a guy who didn't even ask for a correction
On Friday the court granted a motion to dismiss with prejudice Nash Rosenblatt’s suit against me, and today I gave testimony, and the judge found in favor of my counter-claim and awarded me attorneys’ fees.
I will not be getting back 15 months’ worth of lost wages, but I’ve won fairly soundly. I suppose I will have to treat it as an object lesson in how people with a strong preoccupation with organized crime, who have been doing business with one of the most notorious crime families in American history, can gum up the courts and impose costs on journalists.
I said in sworn testimony that Mr. Rosenblatt never asked for a correction, which is true. He also didn’t show up to contest the counter-claim. This is a bad actor, and I see no reason at all to take anything down.
It stinks you won’t get your wages, but I love seeing the win!
