Everyone knows what the Israelis did to your family

It’s becoming increasingly clear that The Atlantic’s planned profile of Matt Gaetz is not to be. They probably killed it, because to tell the true story would reveal too much about the way things actually work. Plus Jeffrey Goldberg is a dual citizen. It has been in the works for at least five months now. Not counting on it coming out any time soon. These guys just can’t play a straight game.

Goldberg’s magazine is retreating into ethnonarcissism with next month’s cover story on a new kind of antisemitism. They discover one of those every few years.

I want to be very clear, and I hate that I even have to say this, but I support equality for Jews in every respect, I’m not an anti-Zionist and am fully behind treating Israel like a normal country. What the Israel lobby wants is impunity for Jews and to treat Israel like a special country. There is nothing inherently unique about this desire either, the nature of any ethnic lobby with ties to a foreign country is to take as much as you can get. The difference is with every other one we are occasionally able to say no. I’m not an extremist, I’m a moderate who understands the problem.

What it will take to restore any semblance of normality between the U.S. and Israel is considerably greater than most Republicans seem to think at the moment, and the first step is truth. It also seems pretty clear that there is no way forward that doesn’t involve the application of existing U.S. laws, which simply go unapplied.

The Atlantic is a means to pay various assets of theirs, like David Frum, Goldberg, and so forth. The source of cash is Laurene Powell Jobs, a friend of Ghislaine Maxwell.

It is clear from the Ozy lawsuit that Carlos Watson seemed to think the hook-up from Ben Smith was going to get him cash from Jobs:

In the complaint, Ozy Media claims Smith gathered information on the now-inactive media platform while he was editor-in-chief of BuzzFeed. In August 2019, Smith initiated conversations between BuzzFeed CEO Jonah Peretti and Ozy Media founder Carlos Watson.

Smith was also tasked by Watson to try to secure an investment from Laurene Powell Jobs, the widow of Apple founder Steven Jobs and a known new media investor. But Smith couldn’t close the deal.

“Smith was more than mere matchmaker for Peretti and Watson; he played a central role in the diligence process, as would be expected for someone who held significant equity in BuzzFeed,” Ozy Media says in the complaint. “Among other things, Smith strategized with Peretti on how to approach Powell Jobs, and extracted information from Watson about Ozy’s large advertising contracts and events business.”

So what this is is Steve Jobs’ widow being milked to pay Israeli assets in a few different ways. Of course Smith went on to fuck Watson.

It seems unlikely that there is much future for the Republican Party, given the rampant criminality of the Israeli state, if they are not able to show that they can take this stuff seriously. It isn’t blaming the victim to point out that the immoderation of a lot of left-wing anti-Zionism is in part a reflection of the raison d’etat. If the Israel lobby will not permit moderation in Washington, channeled in the appropriate ways, the state will grab a bigger stick. A smaller stick would be better, but either way, sticks will be used.

The guy to demonstrate a little moderation here should probably be Matt Gaetz. He was targeted by a family of drug-dealing dentists in Florida, who his best friend is suing now. His brilliant wife, as savvy as she is beautiful, is known to have said things sympathetic to the plight of the Palestinians, which speaks well of her.

The Israelis are very threatened by Gaetz and AOC, because of the way Gaetz threatens the drug rackets in Florida, and the way AOC threatens Chuck Schumer.

Gaetz needs to understand, they did not just try to ruin his career, they tried to have him thrown in prison and bankrupt his family. The people he’s gotten on the wrong side of aren’t messing around. This is the true face of the Israel lobby. As Robert Kagan, husband of the departing Victoria Nuland said about the assassination of Jamal Khashoggi, unless you punish them, “they own you.” He thinks like a mobster because he is one. Stand up to them.

Gaetz’s law degree is from William and Mary, so he has a Virginia connection. We expect courage here.
