Senate Republicans Ordered to Tell the Press 'Israel's Enemies are America's Enemies'
Names removed to protect the guilty
As President Trump demonstrates his total servitude to the Likud mafia, by stating last night that he’d take Bibi’s quagmire off his hands and into the hands of you, citizen and taxpayer, the various dual loyalists in staffing jobs for the Senate Republican Conference are trying to carry so much water it’s sloshing all over their hideous semi-casual Oxfords.
“Israel’s enemies are America’s enemies” is not a fact, it’s an article of faith. Just not the Christian faith.
For about a hundred years American missionaries worked freely in the Arab world, spreading the gospel and doing good works. Our imbalance in favor of Israel squandered all that goodwill. Today we are supporting a criminal government, which is currently undergoing a profound constitutional crisis. This is not in our interest.
Former National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir praised Trump’s plan unveiled during his meeting with Netanyahu last night. At the same time he was trying to fire Israel’s attorney general, a woman who has handled this crisis with real courage. At a certain point, supporting the good people in Israel requires saying no to some of the bad ones.
One thing Trump said, as he suggested removing the Palestinian population last night, is that it would involve moving 1.7 or 1.8 million people. To say nothing of the opposition to this idea by the Arab League, it also seems to be a tacit admission that the number of dead is several times higher than any U.S. media have reported.
Much has been justified under the 2001 AUMF that strains logic and credulity. Occupying Gaza under that legal authorization would be to strain it beyond the breaking point. The president has no legal authority to commit U.S. troops to Gaza.
What made Trump popular was that he opposed the Iraq War, which was driven by Israeli strategic objectives. George W. Bush left office in disgrace and failure because of it. If Trump goes through with this, he will too.
The number is dangerously close to the number of people in Gaza who already claim to be refugees! Thus changing their refugee location to a safer more habitable place is net positive … unless your Catholic supremacist insecurities require constant hating on Joos. Oh , I am sorry “the likud mafia”!
I bet this comment gets a like.
MIGA!
Pitiful and disappointing.
What happened to "end the stupid, non-stop wars"?
