A lot of the people involved with the University of Austin project have been spending the last week or so refighting World War II. They are unable to make sense of the current situation in Israel because of their dubious sympathies and corruption problems.
The Examiner published yesterday that Governor Greg Abbott’s human trafficking operation cost Texas taxpayers $221 million.
The thing about Texas is it’s only provisionally part of the United States. So putting a highly corrupt state government in charge of managing the border for the entire country is just a foolish idea. All borders are smuggling opportunities, the danger in this case is smuggling under cover of law by a state government. The current administration in Austin has ties to all these corrupt oligarchs, many of which are in on the border grift.
Yesterday the finance director of a South Texas private aviation firm was indicted for mail fraud. In 2022 they were raided for human trafficking. The president of the company was on the Texas Department of Transportation Aviation Advisory Committee.
Matt Michelson is the really interesting one. We’ve been over him before here. Here he is with Beijing’s own John Burbank:
His little mobling Gunnar was a 2022 fellow at the University of Austin, the fake university. Michelson’s wife runs a glasses company, and her instagram is rather fun. She visited Cuba in 2016. Given Ted Cruz’s contacts with Cuban intelligence, and the fact that he is Canadian, this is rather interesting:
Michelson’s music industry connections are to Lady Gaga and 50 Cent, which raises some questions given the use of “Many Men” by the Trump campaign. And then he was sort of a runner for Rebekah Mercer in the Cambridge Analytica fiasco. He was also a huge beneficiary of Operation Lonestar, so there’s a ring of kickbacks here. Governor Beshear of Kentucky flew on one of Michelson’s jets for a border photo-op.
Joe Lonsdale is one of the trustees, who’s been running Chinese mob cash and is close to Putin’s former deputy chief of staff. Michelson has also worked closely with Lonsdale’s venture firm 8vc, an Anduril investor, whose towers are deployed on the border. You can see him here with Governor Abbott:
Another trustee is the fairly straightforward Israeli asset Bari Weiss, who’s tied in with Teneo co-founder Evan Baehr.
One of the advisors to the University of Austin is Robbie George, whose project bears a little more thinking about. The whole concept of natural law is a bit of an assault on the Catholic intellectual tradition’s emphasis on public reason. His project at Princeton collects a lot of the socially maladjusted and puts them to work. There’s something a little Russian about that, and we must thank Brother West for keeping an eye on him.
If you look at the University of Austin’s talent network, there’s Katherine Boyle of a16z, Peter Thiel, Matt Ocko of the Curative fraud. Is this a network anyone would want to send their kids into? I would certainly hope not!
It’s kind of hilarious to contemplate what a multidimensional cock-up this all is. Maybe they’ll have some good classes on Civil War infantry tactics.
